The 2016 NHL Entry Draft is still over seven months away, but I’m here to give you a way too early mock draft.  Things are definitely going to change between now and then, but it doesn’t hurt to give you a gander into the future.  This will be our first of many mock drafts in the months to come, so here we go.

It’s no secret that Auston Matthews is going number one overall, barring something crazy happening.  Matthews is tearing up the swiss league as you read this.  It’s still a young season, so there is plenty of time for some of these kids to fall down the rankings and some to rocket up to the  top.  I’ll be back before the new year to give you an insight on the new draft rankings.
